Abstractions in Nature

In these photographs taken during 2010-2013, I was interested in abstractions in nature. My focus was on both stillness and a sense of movement of natural objects symbolizing nature’s beauty and importance. To do so photographically and artistically, I used the visual language of colour, line, shape and texture, and at times the techniques of panning and zooming. Also, following the Miksang tradition of contemplative photography, the images were meant to capture and see clearly the immediate experience of the viewer without distraction and judgment.
